Business Update:

Sharpening the soul of IKTYS

These past weeks I’ve been working on refining the brand positioning for IKTYS — trying to get to the core of what this actually is and who it’s for. And I think I’ve landed on something that really feels right.

IKTYS is for Christians who don’t shout about their faith, but live it deeply. It’s not for influencers or preachers (though you're welcome too) — it’s for the everyday people following Jesus in quiet, steady, beautiful ways. People who show up, who love well, who aren’t trying to be loud but still carry something powerful.

The line I keep coming back to — and the one that feels most true — is this:
“Faith can be loud without saying a word.” (Too cheesy?)

That’s what I want this brand to stand for. Subtle gear with meaning. Not in-your-face, but designed to invite conversations — not push them.

So if you’ve ever felt like a quiet faith wasn’t “enough” or that you should be doing more to advocate — I want you to know: You are probably doing more than you realise. And this brand is for people like us.

If you know anyone out there who you think fits this description I would LOVE it if you shared this link with them, so they can also get these updates and (hopefully) find a community of people who believe in the same.

Music Discovery

Some songs don’t name it outright, but you can totally sense the faith in them. “I Can Always Find You” is one of those tracks—soft, soulful, and full of quiet assurance. I had never heard of Sarah Juers before, but I spend a few hours getting lost in Apple music black holes every week, looking for artists just like her. Sarah blends lo-fi jazz and poetry in a way that feels like a quiet truth: that we’re never truly lost. It’s music for people who walk with faith in the background of everyday life—subtle, steady, and sincere.

What do you think?
Let me know your thoughts and if you have ANY music recommendations I’d love to hear them!

Hooked - How to build Habit-Forming Products

Marketing addiction explained

This one left me feeling a little conflicted—but in the best way. Hooked is all about how products (especially digital ones) are designed to create habits that keep us coming back. The example that really hit this home for me was: “How we open the fridge door over and over again, expecting to find something new”. Sound familiar? It’s like we are trained to expect new things all the time now.

Here’s the twist: the same author later wrote Indistractable—a book about how to fight back against those exact habits. That irony isn’t lost on me. But it actually makes this first book even more interesting. It’s like he saw how powerful these ideas are… and then realised we might need help escaping them too.

For IKTYS—and even for my own faith life—it got me thinking:

  • How can I design small moments that invite people in, rather than try to capture their attention?

  • Are there ways to make my faith and values a “reward” people experience through subtle, meaningful interactions—like how a simple cap can start a deeper conversation?

  • And can I use intentional design to build habits that serve, not steal, people’s focus?

IKTYS isn’t here to “hook” anyone. But understanding the psychology behind what makes people return can still help us show up with intention—and maybe even create space for faith to breathe in our everyday scrolls.

Lets talk about Oscar Isaac

After writing last time about how excited I am about “King of Kings”, I found myself down a rabbit hole—and discovered that Oscar Isaac is actually a Christian. Even more wild? He started out playing in a Christian worship band before becoming a Hollywood icon! - Yes, I know…. This totally blew my mind and the video evidence is epic! He’s actually a brilliant musician (If you watch the video, keep going until 50 seconds in),

I am a big Star Wars fan and that’s mainly how I know of Oscar, but when I started digging deeper the more intersting this guy becomes!

Hey! You made it to the bottom, thanks 🙂
